Established in 1977.
Our beloved small town celebration dates back to 1977 when it was originally known as Wilton Fun Fest. The Wilton Community Club was formed to coordinate the efforts in the Village celebration of the U.S. Bicentennial. The celebration was such a success the decision was made to hold an annual celebration. At that time the event was held over the Memorial Day weekend. It was not until 1992 that this celebration would forever be known as Wilton Wood Turtle Days and be held the first Sunday in August to include the previous Saturday and Friday. Each year this small town comes to life and visitors from all over participate in a variety of events and activities. We welcome you to Wilton Wood Turtle Days and hope you enjoy your visit!
