The Musky Capital of the World is celebrating 63 years of Musky Jamborees this summer, from Friday, August 9 thru Sunday, August 11, 2019, with a variety of activities happening each day:

Friday, August 9, 2019

8:30am-12:00pm: DNR Learn to Fish Musky Workshop at the Community Center. Public is welcome to attend the morning workshop, FREE OF CHARGE. Individuals who have registered in advance and are selected to fish with a mentor will be provided a lunch and spend the afternoon on the water. Little or no musky fishing experience preferred for afternoon fishing. Maximum 12-15 participants will be accepted.

7pm to 10pm: Street Party with live music by Hip Pocket. Located on the street by Coontail Corner. Beverages served by American Legion Post 451.

Saturday, August 10, 2019

11am-3pm: Boulder Junction Historical Society History Day at the Community Center. Free admission!

Brats & BBQ served 11am-2:30pm, presentation, raffle prizes, coloring contest and all day bake sale. Historical Museum and Depot tours available. Ken Carlson and Dick Nelson will present a program about trains with a show and tell display, very much part of Boulder Junction history. Proceeds benefit Boulder Junction Area Historical Society. Donations appreciated.

3pm-6pm: Best Fish Fry Cook-Off at various downtown locations. Taste & judge the best fish fry. Live music by Ron Harrison Entertainment & beverages served by the Boulder Junction Lion's Club. Vote for the best Fish Fry! Fish Fry and voting from 3pm-5pm, awards at 5:30pm, music and beverages until 6pm.

Sunday, August 11, 2019

7:30am: 40th Annual Musky Fun Run. The day will begin at the Boulder Junction Baseball Park with the Musky Fun Run 5k and 10k race along with Kid's 1k and 100 yard dash. Check-in and walk-in registration is from at 6am-7:15am and the race begins at 7:30am.

8am-5pm: Main Street/Hwy M South of Town CLOSED to all vehicles, including bikes, motorcycles & skateboards. Shuttle buses will be stopping at designated bus stops to get you to and fro throughout the day.

9am-3pm: 28th Annual Musky Jamboree Car Show, at Highway M North and Main Street. This show is an opportune chance for new and experienced competitors to shine. Car Show awards will be announced at 2:30pm with the 50/50 raffle winner following the awards.

9am-4pm: Arts & Crafts Fair. Over 150 artists fill Main Street and Hwy M South at our Musky Jamboree Arts & Crafts Show including furniture, fine art, jewelry and many other handcrafted items.

Additionally, the Lions Club Flea Market will be held on the Community Center grounds. Local service groups and area restaurants will line the streets with food and beverage concessions. Be sure to bring the kiddos over to the Kid's Zone on Highway M South by the Boulder Bear Motor Lodge. Kid's Zone rides and games will include: Bungee Jump, Shoot & Shower Basketball Game, Bounce House, Goldfish Toss and Train Rides.

10:30am-2pm: Kid's Casting Contest. In The Musky Capital of the World, fishing takes center stage with a Kids Casting Contest from 10:30am-2:00pm. All children ages 4 to 14 are encouraged to show off their casting skills and compete for prizes next to the Outdoorsman Restaurant. Prizes awarded at 2:15pm. Be sure to stop by the Meet the Guides Booth located next to the Kids Casting Contest area for tips on fishing and to meet some of the local guides. Catch a glimpse of original musky artwork created by North Lakeland students at the Musky Classic Tournament Children's Art Show. Additionally for the kids we have Face Painting by the casting contest.

10am-2pm: Musky Day Fly-In. Held at the Payzer Memorial Field located 2 miles north of Main Street, watch the numerous colorful planes of all varieties take off and land at the airport on Boulder Lake.

10:30am-1:30pm: Sharon Iltis and the Nomads on the east end of Main Street on Sauter Builders cozy porch with plenty of seating in the grass. Country-Western, Americana, Classic Rock.

12:00pm-2pm Steve Matier formerly with the Different Drums of Ireland will be playing live at McGann's Pub & Wine Bar

2:15pm: Kid's Casting Contest Awards announced by Car Show at Highway M North and Main Street.

2:30pm: 28th Anniversary Musky Day Car Show Awards announced along with the 50/50 raffle winner.

The 63rd Annual Musky Jamboree will end at approximately 4pm on Sunday. We hope to see you over this big weekend of FUN in the Musky Capital of the World!
