The Oconomowoc Festival of the Arts is always the third weekend in August at Fowler Park in beautiful downtown Oconomowoc - rain or shine.

The sculpture "Melody" is featured on our T-shirts, posters, and programs in 2018. "Melody" was a gift to the Oconomowoc Area School District and the community from the Oconomowoc Festival of the Arts. She is located at the entrance to the Oconomowoc Arts Center on the north side of Oconomowoc High School. She was installed on November 14, 2008, prior to the opening of the OAC.

Sculpted of bronze, "Melody" is almost eight feet tall, and weighs 825 pounds. The sculptor, Tuan, is a Vietnamese refugee who arrived in America in 1989, and earned his fine art degree from the Art Institute of Southern California. His studio is in California.

Volunteers from the festival apply a coat of wax to the sculpture twice a year in order to maintain her patina.
