Description:

From 4th of July Parade and Hometown Celebration Website:

Cedarburgs annual 4th of July Hometown Celebration is ready to rock n roll on Monday, 4th of July. Ranked as the largest celebration of its kind in southeastern Wisconsin, and coordinated by the Cedarburg Chamber of Commerce, this spectacle draws an estimated 10,000 spectators to the downtown Cedarburg Historic District.

The roughly two-hour parade, noted for showcasing award-winning Division 1 drum & bugle corps, will roll out from Firemens Park at 10 a.m. and move south along Washington Avenue, ending at the Spring Street intersection. This year the Carolina Crown, The Pioneer and The Troopers will delight the crowds with their musical prowess during the parade, and the Troopers will delight everyone with a concert in the park after the parade, starting around 1pm.

Come hungry and take advantage of the daylong picnic in Cedar Creek Park provided by the Cedarburg Lions. Service begins at noon, and an abundance of grilled foods and summertime beverages will be served up with a smile. While parents relax with friends and family, kids are invited to seek out clowns under the trees and get their faces painted red, white and blue. As in years past, the annual patriotic performance by our own Cedarburg Civic Band will take place at 8 p.m., followed by a spectacular firework display at dusk.

10 a.m. Parade leaves Firemens Park. The parade proceeds south on Washington Avenue until Spring Street, where it turns left (east).
