Description: | From July Fourth Celebration Website: Every year we celebrate our independence with old and new events and activities throughout Downtown Green Lake. The celebration begins bright and early with a fantastic pancake breakfast served by the American Legions Auxiliary branch. After breakfast, the great festivities continue over at the Legions specialty golf event where you have the chance to Sink the Bismarck! During the afternoon, there is a fun filled rubber duck race. Hundreds of lucky ducks start at the edge of the Dartford Dam, and bob and weave their way downstream. Other fun activities include Havens Petting Zoo, miniature sailboat races, Bozo bucket tosses, face painting and professional balloon animals.
On top of all this we have not one, but two parades. Afternoon sees our boat
parade down at the Wharf, where over a dozen boats come out on the water, decorated to the nines. After seeing the boats, you can head downtown to see the traditional Green Lake Fourth of July parade right here on Mill Street.
A wide variety of entertainment acts will perform right up to the moment of the first crack of the community fireworks display over beautiful Dartford Bay at dusk. Everyone gathers, brings blankets and sits down by the lake to patiently wait for the fireworks. This is a great time to catch up with friends, and enjoy each others company on the shores of the lake. Culminating with the fireworks show, the Fourth of July in Green Lake is a great time to be had by all!
