From Labor Fest Website:

Labor-Fest was established in 1991. Its purpose is to organize a festive celebration and parade on Labor Day Weekend, allowing family - friends - and communities to honor labor and celebrate Labor Day close to home.

This annual event, in its first five years, has received statewide recognition. Each year we aim for it to be bigger and better! Activities during the 3 day event (Sat-Mon) include a wide range of entertainment, nationally known to local. There's children shows and games, mud volleyball, raffles and a parade on Labor Day which draws 60,000 plus spectators. The organization is made up of volunteers from throughout the area and surrounding communities:

Union Labor Leaders-who initiated the forming of Labor-Fest, Citizens, Retirees, Merchants, Community Leaders are the Labor-Fest Committee. It's successes have grown each year due to the committees dedication and community support.
